Questions
Fair questions, straight answers
What arrives each day?
One email per book you are subscribed to, every morning at 6:00 Eastern. It holds the next chapter of the original text, then a companion summary in modern language underneath. Every chapter is also readable on the site, so a missed email never breaks your streak.
What does it cost?
A free account lets you browse the shelf and read each book's sample chapter. Daily delivery starts with a 7-day free trial (card required), then $10 a month in Canadian dollars. Cancel anytime from your account.
What is the companion summary?
A short, neutral retelling of the chapter in plain modern language, generated with AI and reviewed by us. It sits under the original text, never replaces it, and where scholars genuinely read a passage differently it gives the main readings side by side.
Can I read more than one book at a time?
Yes. Your subscription covers unlimited books at once, each moving one chapter a day at its own pace. You can pause or stop any book without affecting the others.
What happens if I cancel?
Daily emails stop at the end of your billing period. Your account, your books and your progress are kept, and resubscribing resumes every book exactly where it left off.
Are the books abridged or modernized?
No. You read the complete original public-domain text, split into day-sized parts of roughly 800 to 3,000 words. The modern language lives in the companion summary underneath, not in the text itself.
